Where do the values you see on the website come from? Here are the providers, their terms of use and a brief explanation of how we use their data.

CHMI

Station observations, radar, warnings, hydrology and the ALADIN-CZ model. We select data for a location, combine forecasts and derive a precipitation outlook from radar.

CC BY 4.0

Open-Meteo

Forecasts and model inputs for internal comparisons and experiments. They do not supply the current public weather forecast or back up CAMS data.

CC BY 4.0

Copernicus CAMS / ECMWF ADS

Air quality, pollen and UV include adapted Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) data provided by ECMWF. Modelled air-quality, pollen and UV data from CAMS. We show only available data. Fakt počasí selects model grid points and derives AQI, pollen bands and the UV index. The European Commission and ECMWF are not responsible for the use of this information.

© OpenStreetMap contributors

Basemaps, labels and location environment classification. Streets and places that are not in the RÚIAN register are looked up through Nominatim. Attribution also remains directly on the map.

ČÚZK (Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre) / RÚIAN

Place search uses municipalities, parts of municipalities, city districts and basic settlement units from the Czech Register of Territorial Identification, Addresses and Real Estate. Parts of municipalities and districts are as of 30 September 2026; municipality and settlement-unit points come from a July 2026 export. We adapt the data: coordinates are converted to WGS84, same-named places within one municipality are merged, and each place gets its municipality and ORP administrative district. Schematic maps with the outline of Czechia and the ORP district boundaries used to assign warnings also come from RÚIAN. Source: ČÚZK, 2026.

MeteoSwiss

Source MeteoSwiss. We use published pollen-load thresholds for daily-mean bands, not as pollen observations in Czechia.

Terms of use

DWD

ICON-D2 and ICON-EU models downloaded directly from the German Meteorological Service (DWD). We use their outputs in the public weather forecast.

CC BY 4.0

ECMWF / IFS

The IFS model from direct open data provided by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). We use its outputs for the longer daily outlook.

ECMWF terms of use

NASA/SDO

Solar images and astronomical body textures. NASA/SDO and the AIA, EVE, and HMI science teams. We select images and adapt textures for display.

NASA terms

NOAA/SWPC

Solar activity, solar wind and the geomagnetic Kp index for the aurora outlook.

NOAA terms

Astronomy Engine

Calculations of Sun, Moon and planet positions. The licence text and copyright also remain in the distributed library.

MIT

Yale BSC5P / NASA/GSFC HEASARC

Catalogue of stellar positions, brightness and catalogue parallaxes. This product has made use of data provided by NASA/GSFC HEASARC.

U.S. Government Works

IAU / Sky & Telescope

We adapt constellation figures for the sky map. Constellation figures based on those developed for the IAU by Alan MacRobert of Sky & Telescope magazine (Roger Sinnott & Rick Fienberg).

The Space Devs – Launch Library 2

Dates, mission status and launch sites on the rocket-launches page. A planned date does not confirm that a launch has taken place.
